Here’s Belin’s VMK adventure!:
Summer of 2006, my sister, cheer_angelgal, was told about VMK from our neighbor, and her good friend. I saw her on it day after day, but thought it was pretty stupid. Sure enough, one day, not to long after cheer joined, I was bored enough to try it out myself. With cheer guiding me through the steps of creating a character, Tazarx was born!
I didn’t have any real friends in the beginning, so I would explore the kingdom, play mini-games, and fail at trading.
It wasn’t until Tron month (September, 2006) that I met my first group of real friends. These awesome people consisted of: bfishdagreat, MissSma, ronedawg, and Para.dice (now thisparadise) We had so many awesome memories together, and from there on, I began making new friends, such as Safe, and CL_DBourque. Later I had decided to create a new character, with the name of Magic.Seeker. It wasn’t long after that, that I had discovered another member with the title MagicSeeker! This generated way too much confusion, so I created my final character….. Belin!!!!
December, 2006, my family and I went to Walt Disney World! I was so excited to get the opportunity to receive rare, park codes. I made sure I packed all the print at home quests, and got all the in-park quests from VMK Central. Since I was there during the holidays, I even received a couple snowmen!
I was in one of Safe’s trade rooms when I first met Jr.Fairwind (LILSIM). He was telling us how he was trading a pirate room, and boy did I want one. I told him all I had to offer were credits, and he told me he would think about my offer. He also recommended we traded the code on VMKLand. It was March 8th, 2007 when I joined VMKLand and that’s when my whole virtual world changed. Almost all of my VMK best friends came from VMKLand, and I couldn’t be happier.
Later on, my virtual life lost my interest and I stopped playing for a little while. It then became an on and off thing between coming on VMK, and staying off. It wasn’t until recently that I finally quit, but now I find out VMK is closing a month later.
I’ve made tremendous amounts of friendships from VMK, and VMKLand. Especially those with bfishdagreat, WafflePrincess, and WizardAndy. These three were always there for me, to cheer me up, and make me laugh. Even though VMK will close, I still hope to keep many of the friendships I have made throughout the past couple years.
